Nations strive hard; utilize a big chunk of their budget on this name. However, the concept of progress and development we hold lets us down at once especially the moment we experience moral bankruptcy, discrimination, injustice, and dehumanization continuing uninterruptedly. We take pride of being nuke power and the strong economy but had we ever gave a thought how far these things matter when a section of our society feel suffocated and are deprived of basic rights, dignity, and justice. Commemoration in general is celebration in which tributes are paid to a person for his contribution towards society, community, country or world. Also in commemoration the events of significance are remembered. Commemorating special occasions creates sense of community, inculcates sense of meaning and adds exhilaration to our lives. However we often miss the point in commemoration i.e., the essence of remembering __commitment of adherence to the person’s mission or event’s significance. It is human to hate pain and so humans hate to see others in pain. Humans feel sympathy and empathy when they see others in pain. Not only this but human make it their resolve to work out the means and methods which could relieve the pain of those who are in pain. And, to achieve this they are ready to sacrifice their time, energy and resources. Having said that, sometimes human behavior becomes hard to decipher, we expect something and diametrically opposite action or behavior is displayed by them.
